EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS – VOLUNTEERING AT CU ****************************************************************************************** * ****************************************************************************************** Since 2023, Charles University has held the Quality Label and is recruiting its first volu history as part of the European Solidarity Corps programme. The main activity of the volun promote volunteering itself and its benefits for the students of Charles University by org own activities with the aim of presenting volunteering as an intercultural and internation realisation. Among other things, volunteers work at FTVS UK and cooperate with our Interna Team and International Student Office and help organize our flagship events such as Sport regular sports afternoons and others. We believe in creating a friendly international environment and enriching both volunteers, and the public. Charles University has implemented its first volunteer project (2022-2-CZ01-ESC51-VTJ-0000 period from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2025. The project is supported by the European Solida programme and financed by the European Union. Within the project, we recruited a total of volunteers who worked at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (Prague 6) and at the Charles University (Prague 1). As of 1 June 2025, we are starting the second period of the volunteer project under our Qu accreditation. The project will last for 2 years. We aim to recruit a total of 5 internati who will again work not only at FTVS UK and UK Point, but also at other faculties of Charl which are within the framework of its Quality Label. Graduated at Faculty of Law in Belg great lover of youth projects and non-formal education projects, with many years of experi various Erasmus+ projects on the topic of sports and healthy physical life, as well as cre of digital tools for education and green entrepreneurship. By my example, I try to promote through various team and individual sports such as volleyball, basketball and running. The for my volunteering is to promote youth mobility at FTVS as well as various EU funded prog as creating healthy lifestyle habits of students during their studies, which will help the life when they find a permanent job. I am Olivia from Norway, and currently at the faculty of Physical Education as a long-term volunteer through the European Solidarity Corps. The European Solidarity Co EU funding program for young people wishing to engage in solidary activities in a variety FTVS is a faculty with a huge range of activities, and I am mainly involved in the events International Student Team is organizing, but I also take part in different tasks at the a office. Furthermore, I also try to share intercultural experiences and promote volunteerin interacting and being engaged in this international and multicultural environment which we faculty. So, how did I end up here, and how did I choose exactly this program? Well, I did my Erasm years ago and had an amazing time. Unfortunately, Covid-19 came and interrupted my stay, b interested in languages, I continued to study Czech, so my study background is both in spo and when I graduated this summer and saw the advertisement, I luckily found another reason to beautiful Prague. The new volunteer at the Faculty of Physical Education an University. I finally made it to Prague on the 27th December 2023. The faculty buildings were almost empty when I arrived because of the holidays. But it was opportunity to wonder around the city's castles and churches, and get a taste of Christmas first time.
