            Charles University is committed to the principles of equal treatment, non-discrimination, 
            of equal opportunities. These goals and related measures are outlined in key institutional

            as the Statute, Code of Ethics, Collective Agreement, Basic Principles of HR Policy, and t
            Plan.


            The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport identified the need for a more strategic appro
            equality in the field of sport. In 2022, a network of like-minded European universities wa

            leading to the submission of a Horizon project proposal. The intention to collaborate on g
            plans received financial support.


            Since 2023, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University has been a p
            SUPPORTER project, which focuses on promoting equality and combating discrimination.


            The SUPPORTER project (SecUring sPORTs Education thRough innovative and inclusive Gender E
            is a Horizon Europe-funded initiative running from April 2023 to September 2025. The proje
            together eight sports-focused higher education institutions from Central and Eastern Europ

            expert organisations to develop inclusive, innovative, intersectional, and impactful Gende
            (4I-GEPs). These plans explicitly address the prevention of and response to gender-based v
            harassment.

            capacity-building to the development and implementation of its own Gender Equality Plan (G
            key outcomes of our involvement has been the creation and formal approval of this faculty-
            making us the first faculty at Charles University to develop a plan tailored to the specif

            academic field. The faculty GEP is based on the university-wide Plan of Equal Opportunitie
            2022–2024, which was renewed for the 2025–2027 period.


            As part of the project’s dissemination activities, Charles University hosted the final SUP
            at its Rectorate on 4–5 June 2025. The event was attended by approximately 200 participant
